Blurry customer focus

The 'We We Calculator' rates the 'customer focus' of a web page. It does this by measuring the instances of customer-associated words against the instances of self-associated words.

To give it a proper test we decided to use two not-so-random web pages.

Step forward, customer focus authors and guest-speakers extraordinaire - Shep Hyken and Howard Hyden.

Their pages, designed to promote themselves to customers as guest lecturers, turned out to be only 23% and 17% customer-focussed respectively.

We're not sure who to believe in anymore.

In reality though, the calculator merely measures the 'You's versus the 'I's and isn't too great an indicator of anything.
