Penhire just finished writing the text for the webpage of Kilkea Castle - Ireland's oldest inhabited castle.
As with many jobs, they used our text along with some other original copy.
One gem we unearthed during research was a comment on Kilkea Castle from the November 19th, 1867 edition of the Irish Times.
‘The traveller cannot fail to observe, in the midst of a beautifully wooded district, the gigantic proportions of this noble edifice. The commanding structure is now regarded as one of the most perfect specimens of architectural art. Its proportions are massive without being heavy, its designs full of classical taste, and its arrangements most harmoniously blended.’We thought that a 140-year-old customer testimonial carried great weight in terms of the marketing the castle, but for some reason the client decided against using it.
